Advisory Services

Mason Enterprise Business Advisory Services are available to small businesses and entrepreneurs across Virginia. Our programs are sponsored by the federal, state, and local governments, in addition to the generosity of corporate and individual supporters.

Virginia Small Business Development Center (SBDC): Funded by the Small Business Association (SBA) the SBDC is an organization of 27 local Small Business Development Center offices across Virginia providing professional advising and resources to help businesses grow. Plus, international trade resources.

APEX Accelerators: Funded by the Department of Defense, APEX (formerly PTAC) serves businesses in 80 Virginia jurisdictions. All counselors provide one-on-one advice to help businesses with government contracting at the federal, state, and local levels.

Business Finance Center/Community Business Partnership: Funded by the federal government and local counties, CBPorks in collaboration with a number of local, regional, and national organizations to finance disadvantaged entrepreneurs and small businesses in amounts of $1,000 - $50,000.

Women's Business Center of Northern Virginia: Funded by the SBA, the WBC assists women in starting and growing a business

Office of Technology Transfer: Encourages faculty and facilitates the successful commercialization of discoveries, innovations, and inventions developed within the university's research enterprise.

Virginia SBDC-ICAP: Funded by the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corp, ICAP provides counseling and accelerators to tech entrepreneurs and researchers across Virginia
